南部某醫學中心護理人員延遲下班之分析

Analysis of the Causes of Nurses Working Overtime in a Medical Center of Southern Taiwan

摘要


基於國內缺乏護理人員延遲下班實際情況的調查,本研究目的分析南部某醫學中心868位護理人員94年的「考勤」記錄資料,以瞭解護理人員延遲下班概況。運用SPSS for Windows13.0版統計套裝軟體進行資料的建檔與分析,選出783人為研究樣本,結果發現該樣本醫院的每位護理人員均有延遲下班記錄,且延遲下班記錄的頻率高達68%,延遲下班的時間大部份是1小時。雖然此研究結果,僅能推論此樣本醫院護理人員延遲下班情況,無法推論至其他醫學中心,然而希望藉由此描述性研究的結果,供醫院經營者於制定護理人力政策時參酌,能提出新措施改善護理人力配置不足的現象。

The purpose of this research was based on the lack of knowledge about the actual condition of nurses working overtime in Taiwan. The researchers analyzed the record of checking on work attendance of 783 nurses being off-duty at a medical center of southern Taiwan in 2005. The findings indicated that 100% of the nurses had experienced overtime. The frequency was up to 68%. The average overtime was one hour per working day at least. The findings were the condition of this medical center of southern Taiwan and did not necessarily accurately reflect the situation of other hospitals. However this researcher hopes that the findings will help policy-makers understand the actual condition of nurses working overtime in Taiwan. They should legislate sincerely concerning policies of human resources in nursing and creating a better well-being for the people.
