晚清深圳地區基督教傳播史論

Essay on the History of Spreading Christianity in Shen Zhen in Late Qing Dinasty

摘要


1844年,郭士立在香港設立「福漢會」,訓練並差遣傳道人赴廣東沿海地區和內地分發經書,取得成效,成為基督教在深圳地區傳播的引路人。應郭士立的多次邀請,1847年3月,基督教巴色會韓山明和黎力基、巴冕會葉納清和柯士德抵達香港,揭開了基督教在深圳的傳播歷史。巴色會主要活動在深圳、東江客家地區,布吉-李朗為南會中心;巴冕會主要在廣府地區佈道,以福永-西鄉為中心,不斷向廣東北面、西面展教。西教士深入城鄉,施醫傳道,創設傳道學校和存真書院,悉心教授生徒,潛心著述,翻譯《聖經》,發展信眾,設立教堂(或宣道所),培養了一批出色的華籍教士,不僅使基督教逐步紮根深圳,也對晚清深圳社會發展、中西文化交流產生了正面、積極的不容忽視的影響。

When Gutzlaff established ”The Chinese Union” in Hong Kong in 1844, he became the guide of spreading Christianity in Shen Zhen. In March 1847, Theodore Hamberg and Rudolph Lechler of Basel Missionary Society, Ferdinand Genahr and Philipp Winnes of Barman Missionary Society were sent to Hong Kong, which began the history of spreading Christianity in Shen Zhen. The Basel Mission preached mainly in Hakka district of Shen Zhen and Dongjiang. It had its Unterland which was centered around Buji-Lilang. The Barmen Mission preached mainly in Cantonese district with its center Fuyong-Xixiang. It developed its missionary work towards the north and west of Guangdong Province. The missionaries went down to towns and villages, admitting the followers. They set up churches and schools, training up remarkable Chinese preachers. These activities not only made the Christianity take root in Shen Zhen, but also played a signifient and positive role in East-West cultural exchange.
