The Absence of Influence of Oxytocin on the Vasopressor Action of Arginine Vasopressin in the Rat

催產素和血管加壓素對大白鼠的加壓作用

摘要


我們用大白鼠做實驗,發現(1)無論將等量或雙倍量的催產素與血管加壓素混合,注射到大白鼠體內,均不改變它對血管加壓素的反應。(2)以催產素連續由靜脈注入大白鼠體內使其血漿中的催產素維持在較高濃度亦不能改變大白鼠對血管加壓素的加壓反應。(3)本實驗結果對利用生物鑑定法測量大白鼠腦下腺中血管加壓素的含量時有重要性。因為腦下腺浸出液中含有等量的催產素和血管加壓素;前者的存在,根據本實驗之結果,不會影響後者的測定。

Physiol. 21(3): 151-157, 1973-The influence of oxytocin on the vasopressor effect of arginine vasopressin was studied in rats under urethan anesthesia. It was found that the increase of mean blood pressure in response to vasopressin given intravenously was not altered by incorporation of oxytocin in the bolus injection of vasopressin in oxytocin/vasopressin ratio of either 1 or 2.Whensynthetic oxytocin was continuously infused into the rat to mimic the maximum release of endogenous oxytocin under physiological stress, the vasopressor reaction to arginine vasopressin still remained quite constant in the periods before, during, and after oxytocin infusion. These negative results furnish important information, namely, that the presence of equi-unit of oxytocin in the pituitary extract did not interfere with bioassay of the pituitary vasopressin especially by its vasopressor action. Nor did the secretion of endogenous oxytocin by the rat alter the vasopressor response to vasopressin.
