Effect of Hypoxia on Intestional Propulsive Motility in Hibernating Toads

缺氧對於冬眠蟾蜍小腸推進動作之影響

摘要


以骨炭粉標記法測定小腸之推進動作。將骨炭粉劑灌入未經缺氧冬眠蟾蜍之胃內,一小時後該劑可推進至小腸全長之51%或57%。如使各眠蟾蜍遭受相當於40000呎或45000呎高空之缺氧,對小腸之推進動作並無影響。如使其遭受50000呎高空之缺氧,則其小腸之推進動作顯著降低。若以小腸推進動作之強弱作爲指標,冬眠蟾蜍之缺氧閾當在45000呎至50000呎之間。一般言之,如與著者以往之實驗結果比較,冬眠蟾蜍之缺氧閾遠較未冬眠蟾蜍者爲高。

Physiol. 21(4): 215-219, 1974.-The length of small intestine traversed by a charcoal mixture in 60 minutes was determined in unanaesthetized hibernating toads. The distance traversed by the charcoal mixture was 51 or 57% of the gut length. Hypoxia did not decrease the intestinal propulsive motility of the hibernating toads at a simulated altitude of 40,000 or 45,000 feet. At 50,000 feet, however, the propulsive motility was significantly decreased. The intestinal propulsive motility of hibernating toads was less effected by hypoxia than that of non-hibernating toads.
