Design and Thermal Safety Assessment of a liquefied-Petroleum-Gas Tank Lorry

液化石油氣槽車設計與受熱安全評估

摘要


邇來,危險性化學品之運輸安全已成有關當局與大眾關心的焦點。化學品之貯存與輸送過程常發生事故,輸送事故會造成火災、爆炸與毒性物質的外洩。輸送事故只要有可燃性化學品外洩,則火災會比爆炸常見;此外,毒性化學品外洩亦有可能引發毒氣雲的生成,甚至進而污染水源。本文之目的首先在詮釋液化石油氣槽車在設計上之安全理念,其次提出數學模式藉以評估液化石油氣槽車在太陽曝曬及有〈或無〉閃火暴露下之受熱風險。

In recent years, the transportation of hazardous materials has become a great concern of both the proper authorities and the general public in Taiwan. Transportation accidents occur during the transport and storage of hazardous hydrocarbons. Frequently such accidents re-suit in fires, explosions, and toxic releases. Fire is more likely than explosion where there is a loss of containment of a flammable material. In addition to fires and explosions, the loss of containment of toxic chemicals from a tank may give rise to a large toxic gas cloud or may pollute water supplies. In this study, we begin with an interpretation of safety concept in designing an LPG tank lorry. And then we develop a mathematical model in order to analyze the thermal safety of a cylindrical horizontal tank lorry containing LPG. The tank lorry is subjected to thermal exposure of incident solar radiation with or without flash fire.
