摘要

本報告以天然及養殖草蝦為對象，從事探討其外部形質間之關係，並比較此等關係在雌、雄間及在天然與養殖間之異同，獲得如下之結果：
1．草蝦之頭胸甲長與全長及體長成抛物線式關係，但體重與全長、體長及頭胸甲長則成對數式關係。
2．不論是天然或養殖草蝦，全長與體重關係及體長與體重關係，在雌雄間並無顯著差異。但全長與頭胸甲長關係，體長與頭胸甲長關係及頭胸甲長與體重關係則有差異，雌者之頭胸甲長比雄者為長。
3．本文所述之各種關係式，在天然及養殖草蝦間均有顯著差異。養殖草蝦之頭胸甲長及肥滿度比天然者大。

Studies on morphometric characters and their relationships of grass prawn, Penaeus monodon are made.
The relationships between total length and carapace length (TL-CL), body length and carapace length (BL-CL), total length and body weight (TL-BW), body length and body weight (BL-BW), carapace length and body weight (CL-BW) are all highly significant. There is no significant difference between sexes in TL-BW and BL-BW relationships. However, the carapace length of the female is larger than that of the male. The TL-CL, BL-CL, TL-BW, BL-BW and CL-BW relationships of the reared are all different from that of the wild. The carapace length and the fatness of the reared are larger than that of the wild.
