摘要

本文所記述之40種1,075尾雀鯛科魚類，胃內容物分析結果經梯度、聚類、極點及主成份空間排序之定量分析分法，將雀鯛科魚類之攝食習性大略分成草食性者，動物性浮游生物攝食者，雜食性者及珊瑚蟲攝食者等四大類。第一類佔全種數之20％，第二類佔全種數之34％，第三類佔全種數之43％，第四類則僅佔全種數之3％。有關雀鯛科魚類攝食習性之地理變異文中亦有提及並予討論。

A total of 40 species with 1,075 specimens of damselfishes were collectedand analyzed in this study.The quantitative analysis based on gradient,clustering,polar and PCA ordination methods shows that the feeding habitsof these damselfishes can be roughly grouped into four major categories,namely herbivores,zooplankton-feeders,omnivores and coral-polyp feeders.Each of the above four groups includes 7(20％),12(34％),15(43％)and 1(3％)species,respectively.The geographical variations of their food habits arealso provided and discussed in this paper.
