Spatial and Temporal Variations of Fish Community in the Mangrove Swamps Along the Western Coast of Taiwan

摘要


本研究利用運動軌跡影像分析系統VTMAS紀錄與分析日本銀身魚或(Argyrosomusjaponicus)稚魚期的日夜運動活性及對胺基酸的行為反應。實驗魚置於水槽(75×20×20cm)中,記錄24小時運動活性之變化,再利用高運動期間進行對胺基酸的行為反應。日本银身魚或稚魚期的日夜運動活性顯示下午三點到下午九點運動活性較高且在下午六點到下午九點達最高。由此可知本魚種稚魚期可能為黃昏攝食者(crepuscular feeder)且具有黃昏敏感性。因此推論本魚種稚魚期在混濁的育幼場中主要依賴黃昏感受性及嗅味覺來索餌與避敵。本魚種稚魚對Glycine及Valine具有顯著的喜好性,而對Glutamic acid,Aspartic acid,Tyrosine及Cystine具有明顯的逃避性。由此推論本魚種稚魚期為肉食性,因為Glycine及Valine為肉食性魚種所嗜好的胺基酸,而Glutamic acid及Aspartic acid則為草食性魚種所嗜好的胺基酸。

By the aid of VTMAS system(Video Tracking and Motion Analysis System),circadianlocomotor activity and behavioural responses to amino acids were recorded and quantitativelyanalyzed in the present study.Juvenile Japanese croaker(Argyrosomus japonicus)had higher circadian locomotor activity during 15:00 and 21:00 and peaked at 18:00-21:00.It revealed that they are crepuscular feeders and feed mainly after sunset with crepuscularsensitivity.The behavioural responses to glycine and valine were significantlypreferred,but glutamic acid,aspartic acid,tyrosine and cystine were avoided.Theseresults indicated that they are carnivores with carnivorous favorite amino acids and avoidherbivorous amino acids.Therefore,this species at this stage would depend on crepuscular sensation(olfactory and gustatory,but not visual)for prey searching and predatoravoiding.
