Two species of poecilostomatoid copepods were found parasitic on two species of marine fishes caught and landed at fishing port in Tai-Dong. They are: Holocolax longisetus Cressey, 1982 from a slender threadfin bream, Nemipterus zysron (Bleeker, 1857), and Taeniacanthus miles (Pillai, 1963) from a false stonefish, Scorpaenopsis diabolus (Cuvier, 1829). While the former species is already known from the water of Taiwan, the latter is reported for the first time from Taiwan.
