溶膠-凝膠旋轉塗佈氧化鋁於AISI 440C不銹鋼之研究

Studies on Preparation of Al2O3 Coatings on AISI 440C Stainless Steel by Sol-gel Spinning Method

摘要


本研究以鋁異丙醇鹽(Aluminum i-propoxide)為起始原料,旋轉塗佈氧化鋁於AISI 440C不銹鋼上;由TGA/DTA分析獲得退火參數,分別利用SEM觀察表面型態、ESCA分析化學鍵結、表面粗度儀量測粗糙度及膜厚、表面能量測推算附著能(work of adhesion),並以微硬度機及pin-on disc磨耗試驗測其機械性質。結果顯示五次的塗佈平均厚度約為0.25m且鍍膜均勻無裂縫,由不同退火溫度之硬度量測得知AISI 440C不銹鋼有二次硬化現象,在450°C有較高的硬度。由ESCA化學鍵結分析薄膜在130°C烘烤後結構為boehmite,450°C退火處理後結構為-Al2O3;表面能量測推算附著能顯示鍍膜有良好的附著力,在磨耗試驗方面也顯示鍍膜之試片其耐磨耗性優於未處理試片。

In this study, AISI 440C stainless steel was coated with Al2O3 by sol-gel spinning method in aluminum i-propoxide aqueous solutions. The annealing parameters were obtained by TGA/DAT analysis. Surface morphology was observed by SEM. The chemical bonding was analyzed by ESCA. The roughness of surface and thickness of thin film were measured by profilometry. The work of adhesion was calculated by surface energy. The mechanical behaviors were examined using Vicker’s microhardness and pin-on disc wear test. The SEM micrographs showed that the Al2O3 were more homogeneously, and the thickness of Al2O3 coating was about 0.25m after fivefold spinning. Vickers Hardness tests of AISI 440C stainless steels and coated specimens annealing at different temperature revealed temper softening and secondary hardening at 450°C. The supposed crystal structures of the coated film were boehmite after annealing at 130°C and -Alumina after annealing 450°C by chemical bonding of ESCA. The work of adhesion exhibited the good adhesion between the film and substrate. The wear test showed more wear resistance for the coated specimens than the uncoated.
