臺灣西部油氣潛能之再評估

Further Evaluation of Hydrocarbon Potential in Western Taiwan

從生油岩和儲油氣砂岩發育、油氣生成、構造形成和油氣移聚的探討,臺灣西部主要油氣蘊藏的地層和位置以下列三項頗具潛能:一:南北兩沉積盆的麓山帶中新統靠近沉積中心,受造山運動形成平移斷層附近的背斜構造為主要油氣蘊藏,而且以北沉積盆者更為良好。二、濱海和海域下部中新統和部份因侵入岩加熱提早成熟的中上部中新統,其砂岩發育良好,受造山運動影響小,有利於油氣局部區域的移聚。三、海域先中新世地層中砂岩發育良好處,因其生油岩大多在油窗範圍,且未受造山運動影響,有利於油氣封存。臺灣西部陸上探勘以麓山帶之出磺坑構造南北平移斷層附近之南北延長背斜及六個背斜構造較具油氣潛能,而其中以出磺坑油氣田至竹東氣田中間的出磺坑背斜1,1A,獅頭山背斜、番婆坑背斜,以及出磺坑油氣田南面的出磺坑背斜之2,和三義背斜等最值得鑽探,建議分別以南莊層、打鹿砂岩、石底層及碧靈頁岩以下各砂層為鑽探目標,可望發現新油氣田。

Based on the studies of source rock, reservoir rock, hydrocarbon generation, geological structure, hydrocarbon migration and hydrocarbon accumulation, three favorable areas and formations in Western Taiwan are considered to be important resources of petroleum. 1. The Miocene formations in the western foothills contain porous reservoir sandstones near depocenter. They were deformed and compressed by the Plio - Pleistocene orogenic movements. A number of anticlines and strike-slip faults were then formed to trap a considerable amount of hydrocarbons generated from rich source rocks. The hydrocarbon potential of the Northern Basin is better than that of the Southern Basin. 2. On the coastal plain and offshore areas, hydrocarbons have been generated and concentrated locally in normal fault traps of the early Miocene formations and a part of the late Miocene formations which were cooked by the hot intrusions of volcanic rocks. 3. The Pre-Miocene formations in offshore areas were not affected appreciably by the Plio-Pleistacene movements so that hydrocarbons generated in the kitchen area might have migrated stably to neighboring reservoirs of the structural highs in the catchment area. The most favorable prospects in the foothills of the Northern Basin to drill for hydrocarbon resources are the north four structures, namely the northern extension of the Chuhuangkeng Anticline 1 with 1A, Shihtoushan Anticline, Fanpokeng Anticline, and the two south structures including the southern extension of the Chuhuangkeng Anticline 2 and San-I anticline. Reservoir sandstones in the Nanchuang Formation Talu Shale, Shiti Formation, Mushan Formation, and Wuchihshan Formation are the suggested targets.
