Superconducting Y-Ba-Cu-0 (YBCO) films on Ni and Ag foils have been grown at 700 - 760°C by the high pressure DC planar diode sputtering process. The films were composed of highly c-oriented YBa2Cu3Ox. The best superconducting properties of the films on Ni and Ag are Tc (R = 0) of 75 K and 84 K, respectively. The best shielding effectiveness of the YBCO films on Ni and Ag is 80 dB (at 4.2 K) and 72 dB (at 77 K), respectively.
