從社會責任的觀點探討公共圖書館之組織創新行為

On Organizational Innovation Behavior of Public Libraries: A Social-Responsibility Point of View

摘要


本文以美國公共圖書館體現社會責任的組織創新行為為例,探討臺灣的公共圖書館該如何從社會責任的觀點,進行組織創新行為。本文之目的乃在剖析臺灣公共圖書館除了扮演知識殿堂、文化保存中心等傳統角色之外,如何更劍及履及地具體展開體現社會責任的組織創新行為,從而彰顯公共圖書館的人文關懷精神,最終期使公共圖書館在競爭激烈的創新經濟時代中,仍能立於不敗之地。

This paper discusses how public libraries in Taiwan can implement organizational innovations from a social-responsibility point of view. To illustrate, the author explore how public libraries in the United States adopt organizational innovations that are oriented toward their social reponsibility. This paper then concludes by presenting how public libraries in Taiwan, besides being a ”knowledge house” and a culture presevation center, can further practically take their social responsibility and implement organizational innovations, thereby showing their humanisitc concerns for the society, and remain highly cometitive in this era of innovational economy.
