A rare case of unilateral meralgia paresthetica following acute bilateral avulsion fractures of the anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS) is presented. After one week of conservative treatment failed, surgical decompression for entrapment of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve was performed. The displaced bony fragment which entrapped the nerve and caused edematous changes was localized during surgery. After reduction of the avulsed fragment, the meralgia paresthetica subsided within 2 days.
