摘要

本文主旨在說明休閒生活與文化發展之間有密切的關係，分兩部份討論。第一部份分別敘述休閒與文化的意義。第二部份將休閒與文化合起來，舉出自由、道德、教育的觀念，再從東方與西方思想中找出證據，用來說明休閒與文化是一體兩面。本文的結論是文化發展必須以充實休閒生活爲出發點。

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate a close relationship between leisure and culture, first by exploring the meanings of leisure and culture respectively, then by examining the essence of freedom, ethics, and education that are the bases of both leisure and culture. It is concluded that cultural development should be rooted in a meaningful life of leisure.
