名辯學與因明學之比較

Comparative Studies on Ancient Chinese Logic and Argumentology and Hetuvidyā

摘要


基於不同歷史文化背景而形成的不同邏輯傳統,既有共同性又有特殊性,因此兩種邏輯的比較研究只有建基於歷史分析與文化詮釋之上,才能對它們的異同做出合理的分析與說明。名辯學依託于先秦文化,因明學依託于古印度文化,這兩種文化的特徵和需求既有共性也有個性,從而由此產生的兩種邏輯是類同與差異共存。這主要表現在以下幾個方面:本質、目的、任務和原則,邏輯特徵,論辯形式,主導推理類型及其推理成分的分析,謬誤論,後續發展狀況等。

A logic system bears the characters of its own, of which some are in common and some are particular to the others for they came out from different historical and cultural backgrounds. A comparative study of two logic systems should base on the analysis of their historical background and the interpretation of their cultural host. Ancient Chinese Logic and argumentology depend on Pre-Qin culture of China and Hetuvidyā was embedded in ancient Indian culture. We believe that both similarity and differences exist in the two logic systems bore their the general and specific character of these two culture, so the similarity and differences these two logic systems present, principally, in essences and aims and task and principles, in logic characters, in the form of argument, in the way of inference and its analyzing of the composition of reason, in false theory, and in the status of follow-up development.
