再論清初學者對《太極圖》評介的意義

On the Significance of Scholars' Evaluation of Taiji Diagram at the Beginning of the Qing Dynasty

摘要


周敦頤通過對《繫辭》中「太極」概念的闡發畫成了《太極圖》,但他的《太極圖說》以及朱熹的《太極圖說解》,以「無極」解釋「太極」,並以「太極-兩儀-五行」取代了《繫辭》中「太極-兩儀-四象-八卦」的宇宙生成體系。清初學者毛奇齡等對此進行了強烈批判,雖然這些批判從理據上已經被推翻,但《太極圖》理論脈絡違背《繫辭》的思路卻是事實。胡渭便在黃氏兄弟和毛奇齡的基礎上,以將《太極圖》移除於易圖之外的方式,實現了《太極圖》與易學截然二分的關係調和。

Zhou Dunyi drew the Taiji Diagram through his interpretation of the concept of Taiji in Xici, but his Taiji Diagram and Zhu Xi's Taiji Diagram Explanation explained Taiji with Wuji and used Taiji-Two Instruments-Five Elements replaced the Taiji-Two Instruments-Four Images-Eight Trigrams cosmic creation system in The Copula. Mao Qiling, a scholar at the beginning of the Qing dynasty, strongly criticized this. Although these critiques have been overturned from justification, it is a fact that the thread of the Taiji Diagram theory is contrary to the line of thought. On the basis of Huang Zongxi, Huang Zongyan and Mao Qiling, Hu Wei achieved a complete dichotomy of the relationship between the Taiji Diagram and the Zhouyi studies by removing the Taiji Diagram from Zhouyi.
