錫—鎳合金鍍層之磨耗腐蝕研究

摘要


磨耗與腐蝕是機械工業最嚴重的兩個問題,在許多實際應用狀況下,它們可能同時存在。對於材料的損壞,通常無法由片面的磨耗研究或腐蝕研究所得到的資料加以解釋,而必須同時考慮磨耗應力與電化學反應兩者之間的電化學效應。 錫—鎳二元合金鍍層具有良好的耐磨耗性,與鍍鎳層比較具較優的耐蝕性和同等的硬度(與光澤鍍鎳比較,若與非光澤鍍鎳比較則具較高之硬度)。自1950年代開發成功以來,已廣泛應用在工業界。如精密儀器支架、中空圓筒、精密齒輪、水銀電池蓋、湯匙、螺帽、汽車零件、電子零件、裝飾用產品等,不勝枚舉。 由於具有工業價值,本計畫擬採用晚近開發成功的無毒磷酸鹽鍍浴,鍍出各種不同成份,並以X-RAY,TEM分析其結構,確定其是否為介金屬化合物。並對不同成份做腐蝕、磨耗和兩者合併的實驗,其中腐蝕環境(如NaCl,H2SO4,HCl)磨耗部份則根據銷—柱原理,以測量其重量損失。對於熱處理部份也將一併考慮,研究重點將針對不同成份下鍍層的結構分析、耐蝕性、耐磨耗性、和兩者的交互作用。從實驗結果尋求一個理論模式,以說明磨耗腐蝕的反應機構,俾能對工程上有所助益。

Wear and corrosion are the important material problem in mechanical engineering. They may simultaneously occur in many practical situations. The damage causes can not understand from seperate studies of wear and corrosion. Instead the mutual effect of tribological stressing and electrochemical reaction have to be considered. Sn-ni is an engineer coating which is primarily used for it unusual combination of corrosi and wear resistance properties. The film was plated successful since 1950s. The object of this study was to improve the properties of Si-Ni film by the plating process. In the project, a selfdesigned tribochemical testing equipment will be used to study the wear-corrosion of Si-Ni alloys film in corrosion environment. The arrangement for wear effect is designed according to the pincylinder principle. While electro-chemical method will be used to introduce the corrosion effect. Experimental measurement involve the variation of current density, weight loss and wear factor under various added potential and mechanical load. The influence of heat treatment will also be considered here, the study will focus on the mutual effect of wear and corrosion. The result of this investigation will have significant engineering implications to the Sn-Ni alloy film. Moreover it will be development to describe the reaction mechanis of wear-corrosion.
