Supply Chain Collaboration during New Product Development: Asian Perspectives

亞洲觀點下新產品開發期間之供應鏈合作

摘要


以符合環保的生產物料及流程來製造有環保意識之產品已成爲全球之趨勢,這種環保訴求對於大量供應全球產品的中國來說,尤其重要,因爲如果這麼大量的生產流程及廢料沒妥善處理的話,將會危及我們居住之生態環境。要有效地達到這些環保目的,於產品生產前之最開始,即新產品研發之初,產品設計人員就應要具備環保意識,並透過供應鏈間之合作,全面實施,方能有效。但這對目前以設計最低成本產品爲第一優先之工程師來說,是很大之心態及文化轉變,因此本研究建議以中國三個主流之固有思想作爲橋樑,來彌補這個文化差距,而此三個固有思想如何透過供應鏈間之合作於新產品研發階段來解決這個問題,本研究作了詳盡之分析。

To produce environment-friendly products and use environment-conscious production processes are the current worldwide trend. Such environmental appeals are extremely important for the manufacturers in China who supply high volume of products to the world. If production processes and exhausted products are not properly handled, it will seriously jeopardize the environment we live. To achieve these environmental goals effectively, the process has to start from the new product development (NPD) phase through sound supply chain collaboration (SCC). But it is a big cultural gap to change NPD engineers' mindsets from completely cost-focus to environment conscious. This paper suggests using three dominant cultural and religious thoughts in China as the key cultural elements to bridge the gap. A model that integrates the dominant thoughts into business process is constructed to address issues occurred in SCC during NPD and bridge the gap. With the model, manufacturing firms can not only produce environment-friendly products but also doubly gain competitive advantages.
