摘要

台灣中醫師之來源有二：經正規養成教育培育之中醫師及特種考試及格之中醫師。前者按學制分爲七年制之「中醫學系」及五年制之「學士後中醫學系」。
台灣地區有十所醫學校院，四所爲欠立，六所爲私立，其中唯有私立中國醫藥學院設有中醫學系。特種考試及格之中醫師亦經政府委由中國醫藥學院施予一年半之職前教育。
本文就中國醫藥學院之辦學宗旨、發展過程、大學部各學系及研究所，尤其有關中國醫學及中國藥學研究所之教學內容及研究方向做了詳細的介紹，並就海峽兩岸中醫學系之必選修課程科目及學分予以比較和討論。

Physicians of Chinese medicine qualify as such by one of two courses: normal mainstream education and passing the ”special examination.” Main-stream education training includes a seven-year course in the School of Chinese Medicine and five-year course in the Postbaccalaureate School of Chinese Medicine.
In the Taiwan area, there are ten medical schools including four public ones and six private ones. Of these, only China Medical College has a school of Chinese medicine. Those who pass the special examination are also required to undergo eighteen months' practical training at China Medical College before they are allowed to practice.
This paper describes the aims of the China Medical College, its development, its departments and research institutes. It provides a detailed account of the training offered by the School of Chinese Medicine and the direction of research in the Institute of Chinese Medical and Pharmaceutical Science. It also makes a comparison of the compulsory subjects studied in Taiwan and mainland China.
