摘要

水稻新品系台梗育8383號，於民國80年11月27日由農林廳依據「台灣省農業用動植物及微生物新品種登記命名辦法」組成審查小組審查通過，命名為「台梗6號」，正式加入本省水稻品種推廣行列。該品系於民國72年一期作雜交，經後代分離選育及產量比較試驗，成績優良。自民國77年一期作起參加全省區域試驗；其特性為產量高而穩定，米飯食味佳，耐白葉枯病、脫粒性中等及再生力強等優點，公頃產量第1期作6,147Kg 第2期作4,580Kg，與高產品種台農67號相當，適合花蓮、宜蘭、嘉義、台中等區域栽培。

The new rice variety Taiken No. 6, has developed and released in 1991 by Hualien DAIS. This variety was derived by pedigree select in Hualien DAIS from a cross between CNSP 702361 and Chianung Yu 263 made by Taiwan Agrinltural Research Institute-Chiayi Branch station at first crop in 1983. Experimental results indicate that the new variety possesses the characters of risistance to bacterial leaf bright disease and high ratooning ability. Grain yield averaged 6,147 Kg/ha in the first crop and 4,580 Kg/ha in the second crop during the regional yield trials from 1988 to 1989. The stability and yield potential of Taiken 6 were similar to the leading variety Tainung No.67. The palatability of cooked rice of the new variety showed better than the recommended high-quality rice variety Taichung No.189. This variety is adapted to Hualien, Ilan Chiayi and Taichung areas.
