熱發光劑量計用於度量直線加速器電子和X輻射在假體中劑量的分布

THE APPLICATION OF THERMOLUMINESCENT DOSIMETERS IN MEASURING THE DOSE DISTRIBUTION IN PHANTON FROM LINEAR ACCELERATOR ELECTRON AND X RADIOATION

摘要


本文係以熱發光劑量計配合放射治療專用的假體,以度量國人易罹致鼻咽、子宮、乳癌等病灶的放射治療劑量分布。這劑量是來自直線加速器的電子和X 射線。在使用3,7,11百萬伏特的電子射柱和10百萬伏特的X射線時,應先求出這些輻射在假體中達到電子平衡的區域,本文中均有詳細的討論。在實驗之前,電子在假體中的自屏蔽效應亦應求出。至於不同能量的電子在假體中的射程亦必須測定。由實驗獲得的度量數據再與直線加速器製造廠所提供的等劑量曲線比較遠隔治療機鈷六十的伽馬射線在上述鼻咽、子宮、乳癌等病灶的等劑量曲線亦併入本文以便與直線加速器所求得者互相比較。至於假體縱剖面的劑量分布亦列入本文之中。

This paper is dealing with .the application of thermoluminescent dosimeters in measuring the dose distribution in a Rando phantom from linear accelerator electron and x radiation with reference to nasopharyngeal, uterus cervial, and breast tumors which are predominant in Chinese subjects. The region in which electronic equilibrium is attained inside the phantom should be carefully determined when 3, 7, 11 MeV electron beam and 10 MeV X-ray are in use. This is discused in this paper. The self-shielding effect of dosimeters loacated inside the phantom for electron beam should also be examined before the experiments is carried out. The ranges of electrons with different energies in phantom were also measured. All data measured were compared with those provided by the accelerator manufacturer in the form of isodose curves. In addition the isodose curves for nasopharyngeal, uterus cervical, and pulmonary tumors from a teletherapeutic ^(60)Co gamma-ray were provided and compared with those from accelerator electron and X radiation. The dose distribution of the vertical section of phantom is also included.
