電腦斷層攝影應用於小兒縱隔腔異常的價值

摘要

民國73年至76年間，共有29例小兒於縱隔腔異常的小兒病患接受CT檢查，在86%的病例中，CT與傳統胸部攝影比較，它提供更多的診斷資料及認知，有45%的病人因CT檢查結果而改變疾病處理方法。CT最大優點在於確實指出惡性病灶範圍、證實病灶的存在與否或排除臨床及傳統胸部攝影所懷疑的疾病，並常可迅速做出疾病正確診斷。

The utility of Computed Tomography(CT) in the evaluation of mediastinal abnormalities was assessed in 29 pediatric patients and compared with that of conventional chest radiographs. By comparison with standard plain chest radiographs, CT provided additional diagnostic information in 86% of the patients. In 45% the CT findings contributed to a sub-stantial change in clinical management. CT was most useful in defining the full extent of a malignant tumor, demonstrating the presence or absence of a suspected mass or lesion, and rapidly contributed to correct diagnosis of a disease.
