摘要

隨著無線通訊技術與市場的快速發展，相關手機、個人行動助理、系統通訊設備、內容與應用服務以及零組件等產業，均呈現大幅度且快速的成長趨勢，其衍生之商機亦成為國際大小廠商所積極爭取之目標。有鑑於此•工研院無線通訊技術發展計畫積極投入發展無線通訊技術，以協助我國產業建立自主的無線通訊核心技術能量，進而協助廠商開發產品，以我國提升無線通訊產業技術水準，加強整體產業在國際市場的競爭力。
本文首先將介紹無線通訊技術的全球發展趨勢，進而介紹無線通訊技術發展計畫的技術發展主軸、重點與成果，內容包含了微小化射頻設計技術、無線接取系統技術、B3G網路及應用服務技術等。然後說明技術研發成果對於台灣無線通訊產業的貢獻。 最後將介紹無線通訊技術發展計畫未來的發展方向與展望。

As wireless communication technology making fast progress, the related products, such as handset, PDA, communication system equipment, digital content and application service, and passive/active components industries, all show significant growth. Worldwide large and small international companies are aggressively competing for the new business opportunities. In order to assist local industry to establish its core technologies and to development their products, ITRI is aggressively invested in wireless communication core technologies development. This plan also improves the competitiveness of local industry in the international market.
In this paper the worldwide trend of wireless communication technology will be addressed first, followed by CCL's wireless communication technologies development plan and its accomplishments. These include RF miniaturization, wireless access, B3G network, and application service technologies. At the end of this article the impacts of this plan on Taiwan wireless communication industry, and the future plan will also be addressed.
