Dynamic Spectrum Access and White Space Detection for Cognitive Radio Networks

摘要


感知無線電技術被視為一種可以充分運用無線頻寬的重要技術,本文提出一種以感知無線電(CR, cognitive radio)為基礎的動態頻譜接取(DSA, dynamic spectrum access)方法,在無線區域網路(WLAN)使用的免執照頻段上,偵測WLAN系統的閒置狀態,以IEEE 802.16h通訊協定接取閒置的頻譜,進行下行鏈路的資訊傳送,達到提升該頻帶的頻譜使用效率。

The use of ”cognitive radio” (CR) technology is viewed as the key technology to fully utilize the bandwidth. In this paper, a CR-based dynamic spectrum access (DSA) algorithm is proposed for CR systems downlink transmission. On unlicensed spectrum used for WLAN system, the proposed method can detect the idle state of WLAN system and perform IEEE 802.16h protocol to access the spectrum. Therefore, the CR system can improve the spectrum utilization by downlink transmission during WLAN idle periods.
