Visual Acuity Change Following Surgery for Primary Retinal Detachment

摘要

37.例原發性視網膜剝離，經冰凍治療及鞏膜扣箍手術後追踪其視力恢復情況。在第1個月視力恢復進步者佔81%，第3個月時有62.2%的病例視力有進步，第6個月時僅21.6%的病例有些微的視力進步，至第1年時僅有2.7%的病例有進步。視力恢復進步最快是大約在第1個月時。視力之恢復與黃斑部脫離時間長短有關，愈長者預後愈差。

Thirty-seven cases of primary rhegmatogenous retinal detachment with macular involvement, received conventional cryopexy and episcleral silicon buckling. Visual acuity were checked before and after operation-first month, third month, sixth month and one year later. It showed that the best visual acuity recovery period was the first month after operation (81%), then the third month (62.2%), the sixth month (21.6%) and only 2.7% at the first year.
It also confirmed that the visual prognosis was related to the duration of the detachment before surgery. Poor visual acuity after replacement of the retina correlated with the long duration of preoperative macular detachment.
