Slit Resection in Treating Trichiasis

摘要

倒睫，是在門診相當常見的一種眼科疾病。我們從民國七十五到民國七十六年之間收集了56個病人，共63隻眼睛，在門診施予細楔狀切除法治療倒睫，結果在平均達6、9個月（由三到十二月）的追踪期間，我們達到了92.3%的高成功率，65例之中只有5例失敗，而且在第二次手術後，剩下的5例亦全部痊癒。在發生的併發症中，只有如充血瘀青(6/65)，眼臉切割傷(1/65)，表皮凹陷(5/65)，正常睫毛被切除(3/65)，和傷口的延後癒合(2/65)輕微的後遺症而已。

Trichiasis, usually due to misalignment of lashes, is a very common and otherwise troublesome problem in routine ophthalmological visits. We collected 65 eyes with trichiasis treated by slit resection; and the results demonstrate the astonishing success rate of 92.3% (60/65) during the period of follow-up 6.9 months (from 3 to 12 months). The remaining five succumbed to second operation uneventfully. Among the complications encountered, only minor episodes such as lid ecchymosis (5/65), lid linear laceration (1/65), skin dimpling (5/65), loss of normal cilia (3/65), and delayed wound healing (2/65) are noted. To sum up, slit resection proves to be rather a simple, effective and duplicable alternative to treat some kinds of trichiasis.
