Primary Localized Orbital Amyloidosis-A Case Report
原發性眼窩類殿粉沈積症－病例報告
摘要
原發性眼窩類澱粉沉積症是一種罕見的疾病，本文報告一例68歲男性在他左上眼皮內側有一兩年病史逐漸擴大的腫塊。眼部檢查及眼窩電腦斷層掃描可發現左上眼皮及眼窩前部有腫塊，其它並無特殊發現。 我們為患者施行眼窩腫塊去除手術。組織病理切片檢查顯示嗜伊紅性無定形物質，以剛果紅染色在偏極光下該物質表現出典型的蘋果綠色之雙折光性。 家族史及全身系統性檢查，包括直腸及骨髓生檢，免疫檢驗，均無類澱粉症的侵犯。 經過十五個月的追踪檢查，無論是眼部或全掬都役有明顯變化。

A rare case of primary localized orbital amyloidosis was described. Patient was a 68-year-old male presented with a progressively enlarged mass over the left medial upper eyelid for more than two years. Ocular examinations and CT scan revealed no abnormal findings except a palpable mass over left side eyelid and anterior orbit. Debulking of tumor mass was performed. The pathologic pictures showed eosinophilic amorphous substance with characteristic green birefrigence in polarized light after staining with Congo red. Family history and systemic work-up, including rectum and bone marrow biopsies, and immunologic studies, revealed no amyloid involvement. Nor remarkable systemic or ocular changes were noted during fifteen months follow up period.
