水稻新品種臺東32號之育成
Development of the New Rice Variety Taitung 32
摘要
臺東32號係本場於1999年2期作以東陸3號為母本、臺農秈育2414號為父本進行雜交，隨即依譜系法（Pedigree method）進行個體及系統選拔並培育，在2002年一期作以F6世代選定後，編定為東稉育912034號，進行各級試驗及特性檢定，至2008年二期作完成所有測試歷程。各項檢定結果顯示，東稉育912034號具有良好株型、稻穀產量高而穩定、耐儲性良好、米粒外觀與米飯食味優良、黏性極佳，也可作油飯、壽司及發粿等之材料，另具有縞葉枯病及褐飛蝨優良抵抗性，可提供稻農選擇種植。因此提出申請登記命名，並於2009年6月11日通過審查命名為臺東32號，開始進行推廣。

Taitung 32 was registered by the council of rice variety designation and examination on 2009. This variety posses good agronomic characteristics, erect plant type, tolerance lodging, higher yields, good grain appearance the cooked rice has viscousness, springiness, and good cooked qualities too. It has resistant to rice stripe virus disease, brown planthopper. Taitung 32 also can be used as the material to make of oil rice, sushi and rice cake, it can instead of part of glutinous product.
