水稻新品種臺東糯31號之育成

摘要

臺東糯31號係本場於84年1期作以臺稉糯5號為母本與臺稉9號為父本進行雜交，隨即依譜系法（Pedigree method）進行分離世代之培育，於87年一期作以F6世代選出後，編定為東糯育1號進行各級試驗及特性檢定，至93年二期作完成所有測試歷程。經各項檢定結果顯示，臺東糯31號具有優良農藝性狀、產量傑出、米質優良、抗蟲等特性，尤其對於褐飛蝨、白背飛蝨、斑飛蝨之抵抗性均優於對照品種，是近年來糯稻系列品種中較為難得之表現。因此提出申請登記命名，並於94年6月14日通過命名審查，開始進行推廣。

Taitung glutinous 31 was registered by the council of rice variety designation and examination on 2005. This variety posses good agronomic characteristics, erect plant type, tolerance lodging, higher yields, good grain appearance the cooked rice has viscousness, springiness, and good cooked qualities too. It has resistance to brown planthopper, white back brown planthopper. So, Taitung glutinous 31 is one of the most special rice variety among all the glutinous varieties in recent years.
