水稻新品種臺中糯196號之育成

Development of Japonica Waxy Rice Variety ‘Taichung glutinous 196’

摘要


臺中糯196號(Taichung glutinous 196, TCW196)係由臺中區農業改良場於2012年12月育成的稉糯稻品種,生育日數在第一期作平均為133天,第二期作為113天,均較對照品種臺稉糯1號(TKW1)晚熟8~10天,區域試驗平均公頃稻穀產量在第一期作為6,327 kg,第二期作為4,250 kg,明顯較對照品種增產17.4%及5.8%。若與對照品種臺稉糯1號比較其農藝特性,臺中糯196號稻穀和米粒較大、產量較高、抗倒伏能力良好且脫粒率為難至中等,適合機械收穫。唯臺中糯196對紋枯病、白葉枯病、褐飛蝨、斑飛蝨及白背飛蝨等病蟲害不具良好抗性,栽培時應注意適時防治。

‘Taichung glutinous 196’, a Japonica waxy rice variety, has been nominated and released in December, 2012. The agronomic characteristics of this variety are: 133 and 113 days to maturity for the 1st and 2nd cropping seasons, respectively. The average grain yield of ‘Taichung glutinous 196’ were 6,327 kg/ha in the 1st and 4,250 kg/ha in the 2nd crop seasons, which were 17.4% and 5.8% signicantly higher than ‘Taikeng glutinous 1’. In addition, ‘Taichung glutinous 196’ has large grain, high yield, good culm strength and moderate panicle threshability, but sensitive to the bacterial blight, sheath blight, and planthopper. Prevention measures are necessary during cultivation.
