A Comparative Study of Attack and Defense Skills on the 7th Asian Men's Handball Championship

摘要

The objective of this article is to study the twelve national teams on the 7th Asian Men's Handball Championship, including the difference and relationship between their attack and defense skills and the analysis of each national team's shooting and scoring positions. These results can be served as reference to the training of coaches and players and the compilation of handball textbooks.
According to this study, we found:
1. The place in the competition is highly related to the scoring percentage of plunging shoot and the average of walking with the ball, muff, entering the goal-area and double dribble at the level of P＜.01. The scoring percentage of lateral shoot, low shoot, slow shoot, and high shoot and the average of goalkeeper's blockade, near miss and fumble pass with each other are at the level of P＜.05.Thus,it is necessary to strengthen players' basic skills and increase the scoring percentage of shooting.
2. There is a significant correlation between each national team's attack and defense skill record and its actual palce in the competition (P＜.01). This record is very reliable and can be used as a training reference to players and coaches.
3. This year's scoring of shooting reaches 53.77%.The Korean team ranks the highest (60.49%). The high test scoring of jumping shoot is 65.97%.Penalty 7m shoot ranks the second (11.77%). In other words, the Korean team is good enough in terms of attack and defense skills. The most important things for the future training of handball players are to emphasize on how to improve the jumpng shoot and penalty 7m shoot and how to create the shooting opportunity.
4. The 3th shooting position scores the best (16.17%), and the 4th position the second (14.89%). They are followed by the 5th position (12.41%), the 17th position (11.77%), and the 2nd position (11.37%). This result shows that the best shooting position is the triangle area between the goal area line, 6m to the goal, and the penalty line, 7m to the goal.
5. The first scoring position ranks the highest (22.42%), the 3rd one the second (18.09%), then the 9th one (12.33%), the 4th one (11.21%), and the 7th one (11.13%). The best scoring positions are on the lower and upper corners of both right and left side. That is to say, the weak points of goalkeeper are on the four corners and the central left of the goal.
