本研究以研發團隊跨功能互動行為為討論核心,並透過溝通網路的觀點,探討研發團隊結構及運作因素或機制、研發團隊跨功能整合程度、及新產品研發績效等三者間的關係。主要目的有二。第一,瞭解研發團隊結構特性及跨功能整合機制,如何影響研發團隊跨功能整合及新產品研發績效。第二,經由對上述構念間關係的瞭解,使探討跨功能整合及其影響因素的整合性架構更趨完備。分析結果顯示,團隊領導者的研發年資、團隊規模、組織氣候三個因素會影響研發團隊的跨功能整合;此外,團隊領導者的研發年資、組織氣候、跨功能整合等因素會影響新產品研發績效。經由因徑分析的檢定,本研究所提出的新產品研發績效之溝通網路觀點因果模式,亦大致獲得實證資料的支持。
Recent empirical studies have shown that NPD teams are more successful if there is greater communication and integration between R&D and marketing personnel in NPD teams. This study was based upon communication-web perspective, through applying path analysis to test a model of NPD success involving 7 variables. The purpose of this study is (1) to examine the impact of the NPD team structural characteristics and the integrative mechanisms on R & D / marketing integration and NPD success, and (2) to provide an integration of organization theory with the wide variety of research traditions on the subject of the R&D / marketing integration. The findings have shown that team leader's tenure worked in R&D and organizational climate mechanisms contribute directly and indirectly to R&D / marketing integration and then NPD success, while team size has demonstrated a negative effect on R&D / marketing integration. Implications and suggestions for theory and for practitioners are provided.
