Application the PBO Fiber of the Paragliding Cord's

PBO纖維於飛行傘傘繩的應用

摘要


本研究以PBO(Polybenzoxazole)纖維為主要材料,同時經由20、40、60和80小時的碳弧光連續照射對PBO纖維的斷裂拉伸強力影響做探討。PBO纖維經碳弧光連續照射後其斷裂拉伸強力有明顯下降,因此選用高強力聚酯纖維作為編織飛行傘傘繩的包覆材,同時選用PBO纖維作為芯材。因此,利用4束PBO纖維作為芯材,搭配8束高強力聚酯纖維作為包覆材,所呈現的斷裂拉伸強力、延伸率、丹尼數皆是最佳的。

In this research, we choose core material of paragliding cord barding, and this shows typical diffraction patterns for the PBO fiber and Kevlar fiber by synchrotron diffraction patterns. After exposure to the carbon arc lamp, the PBO fiber strength reduces. However, the paragliding cord made by the core materials are made of 4 ply PBO fibers and the cover material are made out of 8 ply HDPET fibers is the best strength. So, PBO fiber has high modulus under paragliding cord barding, it's the best choice.
