This study determined the importance of supplier attributes on composite board purchases by Taiwanese importers. A total of 22 pure trading companies and 31 manufacturers were chosen to ask about attributes based on importance and difference ratings. ANOVA and Duncan's new multiple range test were used to detect if differences existed among suppliers' attributes. Board quality, customers' response, supply stability, and timely delivery were the attributes that most influenced the purchase decisions of respondents. Suppliers' reputation, suppliers' long-term relationship, and freight rates were the attributes that least influenced these decisions. Board quality was found to be significantly more important than price in importers' purchase decision.
