Job stress has become an important topic and accumulated massive research results in the past 20 years. There are both theoretical and practical needs to explore stress management topics. The main purpose of this paper is to review job stress literature systematically. We first clarified the definition of job stress, discussed different theoretical perspectives, reviewed and criticized job stress research in Taiwan, which helped audience to capture the nomological network of job stress. Through understanding of the current research approaches, we highlight important research questions and propose future research directions. Last but not least, we also comprised positive psychology and culture issue in our review to further inspire future research.
