Soft tissue primary closure is a key success step for regeneration procedure. Clinically, there are many techniques to achieve primary closure without tension. Rotated split palatal flap was reported by Nemcovsky and Serfaty in 1996 to preserve the maxillary anterior ridge. This technique is also successfully used to place immediate implant in the same area. The purpose of this paper was to report a immediate placement implant case using rotated split palatal flap and guided bone regeneration. The flap was slough after the procedure although the implant was successful. The related failure factors are discussed to get a predictable result in the future.
