Pathologic tooth migration is a common complication in patient with severe periodontitits and results in not only severe dental disfiguration but also devastate a patient’s mastication. As a result, this problem is often the motivation for patients to seek dental therapy. In order to achieve better clinical outcome, there is a need for the interdisciplinary treatment of periodontal and orthodontic problems.A range of clinical studies was showed that guided tissue regeneration provide the potential for establishing a new connective tissue attachment and is able to reduce periodontal bony defect. At the same time, healthy periodotnal tissue is the key to obtaining a stable outcome when carrying out orthodontic treatment.This article presents a clinical report on a female patient who was affected by generalized and severe aggressive periodontitis together with pathologic migration of anterior teeth. This study affirms the possibility that a combined orthodontic-periodontal approach is able to prevent damaging to the regenerated apparatus and also produces aesthetic improvements as a result of realignments and enhancement of the papilla height after sixteen years of combined therapy.
