摘要


臨床上牙釉基質蛋白衍生物被廣泛使用於牙周再生手術,它不僅對牙周韌帶、牙骨質與齒槽骨有促進再生的作用,對於抑制軟組織的發炎反應與促進血管新生(angiogenesis)也都扮演重要的角色,能夠促進傷口癒合與減低術後病人不適感。大多數研究與文獻回顧的主題,都集中於牙釉基質蛋白在牙周組織再生的運用,然而牙釉基質蛋白的材料特性,應用於軟組織移植(例如牙根覆蓋手術)也應有所幫助,目前尚未有單一回顧性文獻詳盡探討牙釉基質蛋白應用於牙根覆蓋手術的各種面向。本篇文章的目的,即是以不同層面,深入探討牙釉基質蛋白於牙根覆蓋手術的運用及影響,並且提出可能的治療指引建議。

Enamel matrix derivatives are widely used during periodontal regeneration. This is because they not only promote the formation of new periodontal ligament, cementum, and alveolar bone, but also play an important role in inhibiting inflammation. Furthermore they also help to enhance angiogenesis during the wound healing process and reduce post-operative discomfort. Most previous research has focused on the use of EMD for periodontal regeneration. The reasons behind this are the properties of this protein, which are helpful during wound healing, and thus should be also helpful during the soft tissue grafting procedure used for root coverage, for example. However, few studies have focused on the effect of enamel matrix protein when it is applied during root coverage procedures. The aim of the present review is to explore and summarize the studies related to the effects of enamel matrix proteins on root coverage procedures and offer possible treatment guidelines that can be applied to this type of treatment in the future.
