The Recognition of Barking via Grey Relational Analysis

This paper uses voice recognition to distinguish the breed of the dog, because there are countless species around the world and many dog owners adopt stray dogs which are mostly mix breeds and cannot be distinguished. Most people find it difficult to distinguish the breed of dog from their barking. Therefore, this paper uses the grey relational analysis to analyze the dog sounds from different types of dogs in hope of helping owners find their lost dogs. For the dog sounds, the gold wave software was to record and filter the recordings. Speech filing system(SFSWin) program software was used to intercept the acoustic eigenvalue parameters of animal voice signals to establish a database to be used with the grey relational analysis. Next, different dog barking sounds were recognized and categorized to sort out the most relevant species. Via experimental verification, the use of the grey relational analysis to recognize the dog barking sounds is quite feasible. In the future, if combined with the animal chip system, it is believed to increase the search efficiency of lost dogs.
