We present two patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome. One was a 17-year-old male patient with lateral patellar tilt in both knees. The other was a 43-year-old woman with lateral patellar subluxation in both knees. They both were treated with Chinese traditional manual therapy and prescribed Chinese herbs for external application. Each patients received six sessions during two weeds and completed the therapeutic program. During the first therapeutic program, the knee pain gradually decreased. During the second therapeutic program, the patients began strengthening their quadriceps through isometric exercise. One month after completion of the second therapeutic program, the knee pain of both patients had obviously decreased and the patellar positions had markedly improved.
