開南大學教師資訊需求與資訊尋求行為之研究

A Study on Faculty's Information Needs and Information Seeking Behaviors in Kainan University

摘要

大學教師的專業發展是學科專業知識及教學上的發展。一旦教師有此需求後，則須要取得相關資訊來滿足及提升自身的專業需求。而此更攸關教師教學品質之良窳及學校的競爭力，因此我們須要瞭解教師的資訊需求及尋求行為，才能協助教師取得有效的資源。本研究採取質化方式，深度訪談24位開南大學專任教師（使用與不使用圖書館之教授各2位、副教授各4位、助理教授各6位）。本文之研究目的在於探討開南大學教師使用／不使用圖書館之原因、教師對於圖書館館藏資源的資訊需求及資訊尋求行為；最後分析研究結果提出具體建議，除可提高教師對圖書館的依賴程度並提供各大學與個案研究機構、圖書館和館員參考外，進一步增進圖書館服務品質，以作為開南大學圖書館改進服務品質之參考。

The faculty in higher education has special needs in information seeking and knowledge updating to develop their academic procession. Therefore, it is needed to understand the need of the faculty in higher education in information and how they seek the knowledge and information they need. The researcher adopted a qualitative research method to have interviews with 24 faculty in Kainan university. The purpose of this study is to investigate the faculty's needs in information and how they seek information in Kainan university library. The results are further analyzed in order to generate the suggestions to improve the service of the library.
