摘要

Power source is one of most challenge issues of flexible electronics. One of promising solution is harvest energy from human-body motion and transfer body-motion energy to electrical energy. In order to efficiently scavenge energy from human motion, to develop a textile-based nanogenerator is most promising way; this is because the fact that human body is always covered by clothing. Here, a thread-based triboelectric nanogenerator is demonstrated. A elastic textile (6.5 inch × 4.5 inch) fabricated by the device can generate 200 V of open-circuit voltage and 200 μ A of short-circuit current. The textile can be used for harvesting various kinds of body motion energy, including elbow flexion and extension, keen flexion and extension, walking, tapping, and so forth. The generated electricity can directly light up tens of LEDs and sustainably drive a commercial smart watch. Not only acting as a power supplier, the thread-based triboelectric nanogenerators can use as self-powered sensors and integrate with microcontrollers for more sophisticated wireless applications. It is believed the thread-based nanogenerators can pave the path for the energy sources of flexible electronics.
