Tooth transposition is a phenomenon of two or more tooth position exchanged within a quadrant. Although the mechanism of tooth transposition is not clear, but it seems to be close relate to the development of tooth germ and the process of eruption. The prevalence of maxillary canine transposition is 0.3%. This is very complicate to treat canine transposition caused by root resorption, periodontal destruction and pulp necrosis. In this report, we have focused on the prevalence, etiology, classification, diagnosis, and treatment planning and treatment procedure of tooth transposition. We hope those can help clinicians to know how to treat this kind of patients.
