This article discusses about Hermann Giesecke, a little-known German critical pedagogy scholar in Taiwan. His advancing of critical politics of pedagogy (Didaktik der politischen Bildung) not only created a practical access for curriculum and teaching design in critical pedagogy but also triggered the change of teaching theories at that time. Through Giesecke's theory we can see the possibility of integrating ideas of critique toward society and politics into political curriculum on one hand. On the other hand we can see the entangling relationship between education and politics in the critical pedagogy which centers on social critiques and rebuilding during the practice process. From that the distinctions and conflictions between education and politics can be clarified. Only in this way we can go deep to the fundamental problems of critical pedagogy.
