According to the Sports Statistics for Years 2017-2021, Taiwanese adults aged 30-59 have the lowest prevalence of regular exercise among all age groups surveyed. Encouraging regular exercise among this working-age group is an important issue today. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between participation in sports groups during college and regular exercise after graduation. This study took the alumni of a university in southern Taiwan who participated in sports clubs or sports teams during the school period as its main research object. A total of 763 valid questionnaires were collected through an online questionnaire survey. Results showed that: (1) Gender, age, years working, average monthly income, occupation, marital status, number of dependents, participation in sports groups, and a habit of exercising with family members were significantly related to regular exercise. (2) Participation in sports groups during college was an important predictor of regular exercise after graduation. In conclusion, the experience of participating in sports groups during college is found to be one of the factors affecting regular exercise after graduation. To promote the development of regular exercise habits, it is suggested that educational institutions should pay more attention to students' physical activities after class, especially by encouraging students to participate in sports clubs or sports teams, so as to develop the habit of regular exercise and lay the foundation for a lifetime of sports activities.
