Traditional swimming instruction is conducted through teachers' demonstrations and oral guidance, which often leaves students with an incomplete grasp of relevant skills due to the limited demonstration period. In addition, teachers rarely offer time for asking questions, which can easily lead students to become passive learners. Today's educational philosophy expects students to be able to learn independently and construct knowledge, generate peer cooperation behaviors, and perhaps create positive social progress. Therefore, this paper adopts a literature analysis method, through the Airiti Library and Google Scholar, to search for relevant empirical studies, books, and dissertations through keywords such as multimedia, cooperative learning, concept mapping, sports, physical education , swimming, and pedagogical, among others. It organizes and discusses cooperative learning, concept composition, swimming teaching research, and related concepts, then proposes practical suggestions for college swimming teaching. Findings indicate that relevant literature advocates integrating cooperative learning, concept mapping, and multimedia teaching methods into a diversified teaching model. Previous research has not integrated these methods into the field of swimming instruction. The paper concludes by proposing the use of evaluation tools such as Online Cooperative Learning Attitude Scale and a concept mapping scoring method to explore the effectiveness of teaching. By integrating perspectives through multiple teaching models, future college swimming teaching research will dovetail with educational trends, cultivate active learning, construct self-knowledge, and develop cooperative behaviors to promote high-quality physical education.
