網路通訊工具作為協調媒介之研究

A Study on Using Network Communication Tools as Coordination Media

摘要


網際網路蓬勃發展,迅速且即時的電子化溝通已成為現代人生活的一部份。無論是有線或無線之網路通訊工具,無形中已成為人際間溝通的要角。如泰半之上網者,均習慣登入即時通訊軟體,尋找親朋好友,而且有意無意地完成個別或共同目標。今日以網路工具作為協調媒介,已是成熟之趨勢。本研究即以網路高度使用者之大專生為例,探討其中所隱含之認知類型,採用Q分類法,以小樣本探索網路通訊工具作為協調媒介之行為因素。研究發現五種認知類型,分別是:「情感依歸型、流行嘗鮮型、實務應用型、經濟導向型、特殊功能型」。各類型可用以瞭解大專生族群在網路行為上之管理意涵,以及提供業者作為開發網路通訊工具之發展方向。

Speedy and instant electronic communication has become part of people's daily life as Internet is getting more and more popular. No matter wired or wireless, the network communication tools have already become major coordination media for the interpersonal conversation. For example, most of the network users will login to an instant messenger to search for their friends whenever they surf the Internet. Sometimes they may even accidentally complete their common task or get a solution to a problem. That is to say, nowadays using network communication tools as the coordination media is getting feasible and mature. This study investigated the cognition types of college students who intensively use the Internet. We made use of the Q-sort method to analyze the factors of usage behavior while using network communication tools as the coordination media. We concluded with five major categories of usage behavior: the affection-oriented type, popular-taste type, pragmatic type, economical type, and specific application type. These classifications not only can be used to derive the management knowledge of the network communication tools for college students, but also can provide the design goals for the developers of the network communication tools.
