F3- Left dorsal lateral posterior frontal cortex,on/off time: 4-second stimulation train,26-second inter-train interval,每次治療時間約為30-40分鐘,治療後產生顯著臨床改善效果,以蒙特利爾認知評估(Montreal Cognitive Assessment, MoCA),分數提升均大於3分以上,腦霧現象大幅改善,期許未來r-TMS應用於醫學上,能有效治療新冠肺炎產生之認知功能障礙。

In this article, we describe two cases of patients with phenomena of brain fog receiving repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (r-TMS) treatment. According to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration)protocol within 2 - 4 weeks, the prescription are: 10HZ 3000 pulses/session, stimulation intensity: starting with 70% of the measured MT (motor threshold) value of the patient, location: F3-Left dorsal lateral posterior frontal cortex, on/off time: 4-seconds stimulation train , 26-seconds inter-train interval, each treatment period is about 30-40 minutes, This treatment yields an effect of significant clinical improvement after therapy. According to Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA), the score was escalated by more than 3 points in both cases, and the brain fog phenomenon was greatly improved. It is expected that the application of r-TMS in medicine in the future can effectively treat the cognitive dysfunction caused by COVID-19.
