Grafted vegetables of tomato and pepper on seven wild and 13 cultivar eggplant rootstocks showed high intergeneric graft affinity of 80% to 100% survival rate. As three commercial eggplant cultivars were grafted on seven wild eggplants, the interspecific graft affinity were affected by rootstocks and time of seedling growth. The rate of grafted survival were 40% to 100%. There was a high intraspecific graft affinity and graft survival rate when they were grafted on 13 cultivar eggplant rootstocks. There is no problem of grafting affinity if tomato, pepper and eggplant are grafted on proper eggplant rootstocks. However, no significant linear correlation was found between the graft survival rate and the difference of stem diameter of rootstock and scion in grafted tomato and two other Solanaceous vegetables, except 'Andalus' sweet pepper on eggplant root stock (r=0.561) in Aug. 1995 and 'Delicacy' hot pepper on eggplant rootstock (r=0.452) in Mar. 1996.
